Postpartum Doula Care in Berlin Support After Bringing Baby Home
The first 12 weeks after birth, known as the fourth trimester, are a transformative and vulnerable time—not just for your baby but also for you as you recover and step into your new role as a parent. During this time, you deserve to be nurtured, cared for, and supported.
"We live away from our families and when they were not here helping, Keatyn filed that role beautifully. She gave advice, lent books, shopped, cooked wonderful meals, dis washing, tidied up and organized. she is a ray of sunshine and positive energy and deeply passionate."

- Weeks 1–2: You’ll receive my direct, in-home postpartum care. This is when questions are constant, sleep is scarce, emotions are big, and reassurance is everything. I’ll be there to support feeding, recovery, emotional wellbeing, and the practical realities of life with a newborn.
- The Weeks That Follow: Once you’ve found a bit of footing, your care transitions to an apprentice postpartum doula I personally mentor and trust. They’ll continue providing hands-on support in your home, while staying in close communication with me throughout your care.

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I be matched with my apprentice postpartum doula?
If you hire me during pregnancy, you’ll be matched with your apprentice by 35 weeks gestation. This gives us plenty of time to prepare, align on your needs, and ensure a smooth transition once your baby arrives.
If you hire me after baby is born, matching will happen as soon as possible based on availability.
Do I get to meet the apprentice before we work together?
Yes — absolutely.
I will identify up to three apprentice doulas in my community who have the capacity to support you. You’ll have the opportunity to meet them, ask questions, and get a feel for who you connect with best before deciding who you’d like to work with.
Your comfort, trust, and sense of ease are essential parts of postpartum support.
Will you still be involved once the apprentice takes over?
Yes. I remain closely involved throughout your care.
Your apprentice doula stays in regular communication with me, and I continue to provide guidance, oversight, and resource support. You’ll still benefit from my experience, perspective, and professional network — even when I’m not physically in your home.
Is the quality of care different with an apprentice?
The care is different — not lesser.
Apprentice doulas bring attentiveness, presence, and up-to-date training, while I provide mentorship, experienced insight, and continuity. Together, we create a team-based model that offers both warmth and experience.
Why are these packages more affordable?
Because your care is shared, these packages are priced lower than my exclusive, one-on-one postpartum care. This allows more families to access high-quality support while still benefiting from my expertise and oversight.
Is this model right for me?

Happy Families
Keatyn was such a huge help to us both pre- and postpartum. Even though we had a midwife as well Keatyn’s help was absolutely indispensable. She helped us a lot getting ready for the birth and it was great to see her only hours after bringing home our first Baby. She made us feel really confident at home during a time that can be really overwhelming and intimidating. And even now that her postpartum care with us is finished we are still benefiting so much from the ways in which she helped us to get organized and set up with our little one. We will definitely miss her and would absolutely hire her again!
We highly appreciate for Keatyn’s big help. Without her empowering presence, it would have been mission impossible to manage my postpartum time. We’re foreigners without family’s support and our son is our first baby. Keatyn helped our difficult time with patience, compassion and deep knowledge. Thank you Keatyn! Our son still misses you!
Keatyn was a crucial team member on our journey from pregnancy to birth. We met several times before birth and she accompanied us on the grand day. Thanks to our meetings and her amazing resources, I felt confident and knew what to expect. Even when things turned a scary corner, having her by mine and my husband’s side kept me feeling in control and peaceful. Her support meant the world to us and she will always have a special place in our hearts. I’d recommend her services without hesitation!
Working with Jes and Keatyn took the guesswork out of our birth experience. As nervous first time parents and Ausländer in Berlin, with immediate family many thousands of kilometres away, Jes and Keatyn’s prenatal support was invaluable to us. Their insights into the journey of pregnancy and birth as well as the specifics of the system here in Berlin filled in many practical gaps for us. We also had peace of mind knowing that we wouldn’t be navigating the birth alone. Their dynamic as a pair is great with each offering unique but cohesive perspectives. If you are looking for warm, empathetic and practical support delivered with care and good humour then I can’t recommend these doulas enough.
Keatyn was our family’s guardian angel during prenatal and postpartum care. Her classes really prepared us for parenting, we felt ready with her teachings and during those tough postpartum weeks her help really made a positive impact to my family, I can’t thank her enough,
I would love to hear from you!
